'Minecraft: Education Edition' Launches this June

Microsoft's official Minecraft: Education Edition will start its life as an early access program (kind of like the original game played) in June. This will give educators to test the blocky building game over their summer break, so that they can assess how it works with their curriculums and provide feedback.  News For Dummies This will assist in the development of lesson plans.

The people in Redmond have a few currently available, including the Temple of Artemis, Pyramids of Giza or Anderson Shelters used to protect from bombs during World War II. The software will be free for both OS X and Windows in a couple of months, but the beta version will launch in May, with around 100 schools from 30 countries.
